The album you are holding in your hands is not only the debut of OPiUM String Quartet, but also the first-ever CD recording of three out of the four presented compositions: those by Maciej Małecki and Sławomir Czarnecki, which have never been released on record.
I would like to thank everyone for their work on this CD, and in particular – Maestro Gabriel Chmura for accepting the challenge and bestowing a special, unique character on the first project in our series.
Many performances of Lutosławski's music suffer from this deficiency. This recording is free of it.
