The Warsaw Philharmonic is releasing another disc recorded during the 2021/2022 season, devoted to the music of Krzysztof Penderecki. The Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra and its conductor Andrzej Boreyko chose two works by Penderecki that represented a return to tradition in his creative process
Completorium, presented in this recording, is one of the most extensive and well-known works by Gorczycki. It is a musical setting of selected parts of the compline.
In Mykietyn’s earlier works, it was harmony that provided the ‘stem cells’ of the composer’s music.
