French flute music holds a unique place in the canon of modern flute performance, a status shaped by the multifaceted phenomenon of the French Flute School in the first half of the 20th century. One of its influences was the development of a rich repertoire, incorporating a new style of performance.
For his solo debut album, Jan Krzeszowiec chose works by Gabriel Fauré, Philippe Gaubert, Darius Milhaud, and Pierre Sancan, offering his own artistic perspective and personal voice within this tradition. He is joined on the piano by Tymoteusz Bies.
