Paweł Nawara
He first studied guitar in Warsaw at the Grażyna Bacewicz State School of Music (Grade 1) and at the Chopin State School of Music (Grade 2) with Leszek Potasiński. He continued at the Warsaw Academy of Music in the class of Ryszard Bałauszko. In 1996 he won an honorable mention in the chamber ensembles category in the 8th All-Polish Classical Guitar Competition in Koszalin. In the same year he took part in the Guitar Festival in Ingenio (Canary Islands).
His repertoire spans the Renaissance to modern times. He often performs transcriptions and arrangements of classical and pop music. He is a recognized expert in the rock music of the 60´s and 70´s; he published in the music journal Tylko Rock. He was a consultant on the book Brytyjski Rock 1961-1979 – Przewodnik Płytowy (British Rock 1961-1979 – The Record Guide) by Jacek Leśniewski. He has also written a work on links between classical and rock music. Paweł Nawara teaches guitar at the Grażyna Bacewicz School of Music in Warsaw.
