Carlos Castro

Graduated from the Real Conservatorio Superior de Madrid with a diploma in percussion. He has been teaching since 1991, and is a professor with the Percussion Department at the National Superior Conservatory of Vigo. He collaborated with numerous symphony orchestras, brass and percussion groups. He is a member of various groups, including jazz, folk, and experimental music. He was involved in recording of over 70 discs, ranging from classical and jazz, to folk and early music. Early music remains one of
Carlos’ main interests. He is the percussionist with medieval music groups Martin Codax and Meedinho, and is a regular performer with early music ensemble “Resonet”, directed by Fernando Reyes.
