The CD Accord album with Chopin’s piano concertos is a unique item on the long list of Chopin Year releases. The performers, A. Rubinstein and M. Argerich – great names known to every music lover – rarely appear on Polish albums. Their interpretations need no recommendation. This time the pianists are accompanied by Polish orchestras, which is rather unusual. Both recordings are live and bring back the memories of two fantastic nights, one in 1960 at the National Philharmonic and the other in 1992 at the recording Studio S1. This unusual musical material of high artistic and historic value has been given a tasteful graphic design and is accompanied by an elegant booklet. This is a model album, for its musical and visual sides – a real record of the century!
