Rafał Bartmiński

Studied at the Katowice Academy of Music under Eugeniusz Sąsiadek and attended master classes given by Helena Łazarska, Christian Elsner, Ralf Doring and Ryszard Karczykowski. Prize-winner of the Ada Sari Vocal Competition in Nowy Sącz, and in 2001, hailed as the most promising Polish tenor during the International Moniuszko Vocal Competition in Warsaw (Special Award). He made his singing debut as a student performing oratorios by Bach, Beethoven, Handel and Mozart in concert halls throughout Poland. He participated in a New Year’s Concert in Paris and in an inaugural concert of Sacred Music in Pisa. Following his graduation he joined the Warsaw Chamber Opera making his debut as Lensky in Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin. His repertoire includes the parts of Tamino in Mozart’s Magic Flute, Don Ottavio in his Don Giovanni and Nemorino in Donizetti’s L’elisir d’amore. At the Polish National Opera he sings Don Luigino in Rossini’s Il viaggio a Reims.
