Ewa Marciniec

A graduate of the Academy of Music in Gdansk (composition and theory of music, singing and acting with Zofia Janukowicz-Poblocka) and the Musikhochschule in Stuttgart (postgraduate vocal studies with Luisa Bosabalian on a DAAD scholarship). She attended master classes with Carlo Bergonzi (Accademia Musicale Chigiana Siena), Paul Esswood (Internationale Händel Akademie Karlsruhe), Helmuth Rilling (Bachakademie Stuttgart), Adele Stolte (Course in Bach Music Interpretation in Gdansk). She has won awards in vocal competitions in Warsaw, Wroclaw and Nowy Sacz (Poland). She was a finalist in the international competitions in Hertogenbosch and Munich (ARD). Ewa Marciniec sings both old and contemporary music (e.g. the premiere of Elzbieta Sikora’s oratorio Omnia Tempus habent to commemorate the millennium of Gdansk’s history). She works with most Polish orchestras and philharmonics, as well as giving concerts abroad (the Berlin Philharmonic, the Konzerthaus Berlin, Teatro dell’ Opera Roma; concert halls in France, Israel, Denmark, Holland and Switzerland). She has recorded for Polish Radio (Polish music) and for music companies (Messa di Gloria by Rossini and Mozart’s arrangement of Handel’s Messiah).
