Cezary Duchnowski
Born in 1971, he studied composition with Prof. Leszek Wisłocki in the Music Academy in Wrocław, where he presently gives lectures on computer music and other subjects. A co-founder of the Computer Composition Studio in Wrocław’s Music Academy, he writes chamber and symphonic music, but in the recent years he has focused on electro-acoustic compositions. With Agata Zubel he performs in the ElettroVoce Duo, specialising in voice-and-electronics projects. He is an ardent advocate of improvised music. Morphai – a group for interdisciplinary artistic initiatives.With Paweł Hendrich and Sławomir Kupczak, he co-founded Phonos ek Mechanes, an ensemble specialising in a specific form of improvised electronic music – human-electronics, in which computers are controlled by acoustic instruments.
