Orkiestra Kameralna
Capella Bydgostiensis
The group is a continuation of ‘Capella Bydgostiensis Pro Musica Antiqua’ established in 1962. It is currently part of the Paderewski Pomeranian Philharmonic in Bydgoszcz and a leading Polish chamber orchestra. Since 1995 it has been led by Daniel Stabrawa, the concert master of the Berlin Philharmonic. The orchestra gives regular concerts (about 50 in a year) in such renowned venues as the National Philharmonic in Warsaw, the Schloss Mirabell in Salzburg, the Royal Palace in Stockholm, El Escorial in Madrid or the Dutch Radio Concert Hall in Utrecht. The guest soloists and conductors include Ewa Podles, Ewa Poblocka, Wanda Wilkomirska, Georghe Zamphir, George Malcolm, Garry Karr, Albrecht Mayer, Roman Jablonski, Konstanty Andrzej Kulka and Krzysztof Jakowicz. The repertoire is varied, ranging from baroque to contemporary music. The orchestra has recorded music for labels in Poland (CD Accord), Germany (Cavalli Records), the Netherlands and Spain, as well as for many broadcasting stations.
