Chór Alla Polacca
Alla Polacca Choir is affiliated with the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw, Poland. Founded by Władysław Skoraczewski in 1945, the choir was known as the Central Artistic Ensemble of the Polish Scouting Association until 1989. The choir consists of over 200 choristers and performs in three age groups. The members of Alla Polacca Choir have participated in a number of operas staged at the Teatr Wielki. They have also taken part in numerous competitions in Poland and abroad reaching for the highest awards. The Choir has regular tours in Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Germany, Switzerland and Sicily. Alla Polacca Choir performs music of all epochs. The repertoire consists of a cappella pieces as well as those accompanied by a chamber orchestra, the harp or the piano. The choir has produced many archival recordings of Polish contem-porary music for the Polish Radio and Television. Alla Polacca recorded their artistic achievements on numerous CDs and tapes.
Sabina Włodarska, the choir’s Artistic Director is a graduate of acclaimed Musical Academy in Poznań where she studied with professor Stefan Stuligrosz. She has devoted her artistic career to working with children and youth and her professional effords have proven a great succes of her choirs at many stages in Poland and all over the World. Polish composers who acknowledge the perfection of her interpretation entrust her with the debut performances of their works. As a trainer, Sabina Włodarska has also participated in many local and international choral workshops in Czech Republic, France, Poland and Yugoslavia sharing her knowledge and experience with younger collegues. She has been awarded Prime Minister’s Award for her artistic work with and for children and youth. She has conducted the choir Alla Polacca since 1983.
