He began his singing career among the ranks of the Principal Artistic Ensemble of the Polish Scout's Union under the direction of Władysław Skoraczewski and later studied at the Warsaw Academy of Music with Alina Bolechowska. Since 1984 he has been a soloist of the Polish National Opera where he made his debut as the Marquis de Lussac in Duniecki's The Pages of Princess Marysieńka. While still a student he collaborated with the Russian Orthodox Music Ensemble. His repertoire includes Orgando in Handel's Amadigi di Gaula, Dzidzi in Moniuszko's The Countess, Ferrando in Mozart's Cosi fan tutte and Perdillo in his Abduction from the Seraglio, the Madman in Musorgsky's Boris Godunov, the title role in Paderewski's Manru, Jedidja Potter in Penderecki's The Black Mask, the Father in Marta Ptaszynska's children's opera Mister Marimba, Pang in Puccini's Turandot, Lindoro in Rossini's L'Italiana in Algeri, Edzio in Rudziński's Mannequins, Jonek in Stefani's The Krakovians and Mountain Folk, Theopompus in Twardowski's The Story of St. Catherine, Malcolm in Verdi's Macbeth, Borsa in his Rigoletto and Gaston in his La Traviata and the Son in Weill's Seven Deadly Sins. He has performed in other Polish opera houses and concert halls as well as in France, Israel, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Great Britain and Italy. He has recorded on CD, for Radio and Television and has sung the part of Ferrando in a film version of Mozart's Cosi fan tutte.
